My name is Ed Carter and Waco, Texas is my home. Although I was born and reared in Atlanta, Georgia, I became a Texan many years ago. Prior to my move to Waco I lived in a lot of places because of transfers in the Service. Did you ever hear of Pungoteague, Virginia? (local folks say punkaTEEG) That's where we lived on my last assignment before retirement. Before that there was Fort Gordon, Georgia, Nuremberg and Regensburg, Germany, Baltimore, Maryland, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Yuma, Arizona, Fort Worth, Texas - and probably somewhere else I've forgotten.
